A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.

ASAYAKE is the official fanlisting for the Gackt and HYDE song, "Orenji no Taiyou."

I created this fanlisting because I adore "Orenji no Taiyou." I'm a big fan of anything Gackt or HYDE, so choosing a single Gackt song or a single HYDE song to do a fanlisting for would be quite difficult. What makes "Orenji no Taiyou" so special is that not only is it a Gackt song and not only is it a HYDE song, but it is a Gackt AND HYDE song. (exclamation!) O_O

The first clip of "Orenji no Taiyou" I heard was at the end of the Moon Child movie, in which both Gackt and HYDE starred. I fell in love with it instantly, despite that version being all of one minute long. When Gackt's album, Crescent, was released, I got to hear the song in its entirety, and loved it 10x more. Their voices blend beautifully and the music is stunning; everything about the song is gorgeous.

And so I made this site, so others that feel the same way can form a union and take over the world! ...Or maybe we could adopt a street first. Y'know, take it slow.

This fanlisting was opened on January 30, 2004. ASAYAKE is Japanese for "morning glow," or "sunrise colors." I thought it fit well.
